Labour to Baby

On 23rd I got sent to hospital by the midwife because i had HIGH Blood Pressure and 3 counts of protein in me urine. (as she came out for a routien visit)
so when I got to hospital went to Triarge they monitored my BP every 5 minutes and put one of those monitor babies heart rate and my contractions. was there for an hour and a half.

I had to have my waters broken due to having Pre-eclampsia (HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE) plus i was having contractions before they broke me waters anyway so its as if i was going to go into labour eventually anyway, but they had to break waters to start off labour cause pre-eclampsia could of killed me &/or baby. once they broke my waters i mange to get to 3-nearly 4cm dilated but i stuck at 2-3cm for a long time. it was a stressful labour cause they was doing my blood pressure every 5 minutes (they arm thing never came off all the way through.) i went onto gas and air after a while cause Sam asked if there was pain relief cause he saw i was getting in more pain ( i thought i had to wait for them to offer and didn't realize that i was in labour. (didn't kick into my head i was in labour. like the twat i am). they kept having to take blood off baby's head while i was in labour cause i wasn't going passed 3cm for a long while plus they had to check to she if she was okay while i was in labour
and if she was in any distress, It hurt like a bitch them doing that cause it was a stupid foreign doctor. my contraction where going every 2-3 minutes still on gas and air. (Gas&Air is good stuff :D ) Through all this they was taking my blood and i was on a load of drips too. Monitoring baby's heart and my contraction. There were wires all over the place. Any way..... Sam turned round to me and said i need some higher pain medication cause he could see it was getting worse and worse, and i had been putting the epidural off (saying no to it) through most of the labour cause i didn't want it. cause Sam said its probably best to get it (convinced me) and that doctors where saying all the way through that it would be that best thing for me and baby. I finally said yes. as soon as I said yes that was like right Miriam we are going to give you a C-Section
then went into theater i can onli just remember the epidural mainly cause it happened when a bloody contraction happened. through the c-section cause i was that high on gas and air all i can remember is seeing Sam in scrubs a blue screen being put in front of me. Sam talking to me through C-section me not feeling a thing after that cause of epidural the suddenly hearing Kiara crying so i started crying. cause i knew she was finally here and she was born and alive. then they came over and said it's a little girl.

Kiara born 23rd October at 23:11pm, weighed 5lb 14oz

9hour long labour (from waters breaking) In between the time of the gas&air to the epidural I was having phone calls trying to get hold of my mum. she arrived giving Sam some time to pop to get something to eat as he'd not eaten all day, stuck by my side the whole time apart from that, I'm so proud of him, I couldn't of done it with out him, he kept me calm when they needed to see how far I was dilated, when they took blood from baby's head and every contraction. Mum was an awesome help too. everything was hectic in my labour room.
Dad was awesome for getting me straight to the hospital even though he wasn't feeling too well, (ha and when we got to the hospital we realized he had a flat tyre).

I was stuck in hospital for 6days which felt like a month because it took me a while to stop feeling all high from gas&air. I onli had to be in for 3days from C-section but because my blood pressure was so high (well one minute it was fine next it was Sky high) they wouldn't let me go home it got to day 4 and I reali wanted to go home, plus I could see that Sam wanted me and Kiara home cause he was all alone most the time.
After coming out of theater I went in the high observation room. (Tiny room with just me and Kiara and a sink lol. it was so bloody hot in there) I was stuck in there until Sunday, when they took me upto the ward then that night got rushed back down to Labour suite as my blood pressure was 200/110 (at the lowest its meant to be 140/90) the the next morning I was back on the ward. until I left on Thursday night.
Now it sounds like a sort amount of time but when I was in the high observation room It felt like a week. I couldn't move properly until sunday afternoon. Nurse button for the win. I was stuck in a bed not being able to even sit up, its not nice.) I couldn't even get up to get Kiara. Then Sunday felt like 3days. and then monday- thursday felt like 2-3weeks. All this was because of no sleep just cat napping/power napping.

Well that most of it I've got loads more to tell. It's just to knakering having to write it all.
